Don’t Be Deceived, Chibok Girls Cannot Return – Obasanjo

Don’t Be Deceived, Chibok Girls Cannot Return – ObasanjoNEWSChief Olusegun Obsanjo
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has dismissed hope of rescuing over 200 missing Chibok girls alive after being kidnapped by Boko Haram militants for about two years.
Obasanjo disclosed this on Friday while fielding questions from the audience at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-
Ife, Staff Club, during a programme tagged, “7th Roundtable with Obj”
The former president blamed the immediate past administration for the fate of the Chibok girls and further asked Nigerian leaders to stop deceiving the populace on the return of over 200 missing Chibok  schoolgirls.
He attributed the non discovery of the Chibok girls to the nonchalant attitude of the previous leader who he said failed to take the right action immediately which constituted impediment to their return.
“72 hours after the Chibok girls were abducted was too late for their rescue, not to talk of getting to two years by April. “So if any leader is promising bringing back the Chibok girls to Nigeria, he is lying” He noted.
According to him, majority of these girls would by now have died, while those alive would have married or sexually violated.
