New major shareholder Farhad Moshiri will have the ultimate say on the manager, not loyal chairman Bill Kenwright, and he's far from convinced by the Spaniard
Roberto Martinez needs FA Cup glory to stand ANY chance of an Everton future.
New major shareholder Farhad Moshiri will invest millions in trying to make the
Blues a major force, and wants a manager who can deliver his vision.
The shambles of Wednesday’s humiliating 4-0 defeat at Mersey rivals Liverpool, on top of the Goodison club's slump towards the relegation zone this season, leavesboss Martinez a long way from proving he’s that man.
Chairman Bill Kenwright retains control of the club, with the new shareholder’s full backing – and is known for his loyalty.
However, he will steer the ship for the next two years at the request of Moshiri, who will ultimately complete a full takeover.
And as he intends to plough multi-millions in during the summer to get a new stadium project off the ground and buy top-quality players, he is the one who will decide the fate of the manager.
With Moshiri still far from convinced, Martinez must find a way to inspire his side to victory against Manchester United in their FA Cup semi-final on Saturday to have any chance of saving himself once the dust settles.
