The beef between pop star, Wizkid and blogger, Linda Ikeji has been on for a while now – with the latest episode starting when the blogger broke the news about a ‘quit notice’ served on the singer by his landlord and he responded with a rant on her Instagram post.
Remember we exclusively reported last week when Linda took a case of ‘threat to her life’ to the office of Lagos State commissioner for Police, Fatai Owoseni stemming from the Wizkid rant.
Today, Wizkid and Linda showed up at the office of the Lagos Police chief at Area F, Ikeja where they both resolved to settle the case without pressing charges.
According to Linda Ikeji, ‘I spoke with Wizkid through his lawyer on Friday April 15, 2016 where he tendered an apology to me and said he wasn’t a violent person, that he didn’t mean what he said, that it was just an emotional outburst. And then he asked for forgiveness’.

A source who was present at the police station tells our correspondent that, ‘Wiz and Linda came today. Wizkid came with about 3 lawyers and his manager, Sunday Are who didn’t step out of the car.
‘Wizkid wrote a statement and when Linda was asked if she wants to press charges she said no, that he’s called to apologise’.
We also learnt that the case against Wizkid is now closed but he was warned it will be re-opened if he threatens anyone else.
Wizkid has since shared a photo from his visit to the police chief today with the caption, ‘With the Hon Commissioner of Lagos Police!!! Police is your friend’.
Speaking on why she didn’t appear in the photograph, Linda says, ‘I turned down taking a photo with him and the police commissioner this afternoon. One of his people took a pic of him and the commissioner with me in it and my people insisted they delete it. Not because I haven’t forgiven him, I just don’t need the extra drama’.
