Americans try to guess British football terms - and some of the attempts are hilarious

No, "Having A Mare" has nothing to do with buying a female horse

Nice try lads: Americans give their best go but get some British football terms very wrong indeed
Brits and Americans may share the same language but when it comes to football they couldn't be more different .
Take the word 'football' for example. It refers to literally two different sportsdepending on which country you're in.
In Britain it's the sport with the round ball and the nets at either end; in America the ball is sort of egg shaped and there's no nets at either end. Plus there's added shoulder pads.
So really it was probably quite unfair for TYT Sports to ask Americans to explain British football expressions but the results, as expected, are amazing.
Especially the explanations for "Top bin", "Nutmeg and "Having a Mare".

In the interest of fairness, though, what we want to see next is Brits trying to explain American Football terms.
