A mystery woman spotted posing semi-naked by a canal has revealed herself - and laid bare why she was dressed only in bra, knickers and suspenders.

Rebecca Griffiths discovered her new-found fame after seeing a news story about the unusual sighting in the popular city centre location.
And now, she's lifted the lid on why she was leaning on a bridge by the canal in broad daylight and temperatures so cold that Manchester was pelted with hailstones.
The 28-year-old told the MEN that her first time attempt at an underwear shoot drew a flurry of attention from passersby, locals and tourists.
She said: “I was doing a favour for a photographer friend of mine by posing for a lingerie shoot.

“We started at around 1.30pm and finished at 5pm as it started to rain and it was freezing cold - especially as I wasn’t wearing that much.”

The 28-year-old fashion designer, who runs bespoke bridal brand Rebecca UK, explained that it was her first time modelling and she got plenty of reaction from passers-by.
She said she wore two outfits and posed at a number of different locations.
“A lot of people were stopping and staring, and there were small crowds forming,” she added.
“It was certainly an experience!”
The photoshoot was organised by Hulme-based photographer Robert Chowdhry-John, 34, who has used the picturesque Castlefield location before for his agency RCJPHOTOS.
He said: “My photography celebrates Manchester and the human form.
"The backdrop is the city I come from and love, with a beautiful lady in front of it.

“I don’t think there is anything wrong with that, and I hope people agree. I don’t want to be demonised in any way.

“I’m from the local area and would be really annoyed if I was not allowed to use the location.
“There is nothing sleazy about it - I am creating art.
“Rebecca agreed to do the photoshoot after I put out a casting call. It helped me boost my portfolio and helped her boost her confidence.”
Castlefield is a conservation area and also contains bars and restaurants, residential units and office blocks.
One bystander who contacted the MEN on Saturday said: “A lot of people looked pretty shocked and we’re doing a double take.
“It’s certainly not what you to expect to see if you’re taking your family for a walk down the canal.”
