All the energy in the world can't defend this 'no touch' self-defence practitioner from receiving a beating at the hands of a real-life martial arts expert.
In this amusing clip, Ukranian stuntman and seven times fighting champion
Alexandr "Alex Lee" Litvinenko teaches his blond-haired opponent that positive thinking counts for little in genuine unarmed combat.
According to Alex, who uploaded the encounter onto his YouTube channel, the man practised a form of no-contact resistance and wanted to demonstrate its power with a worthy adversary.
He unwisely chooses Alex as his sparring partner.

The man creates a seemingly impregnable wall of psychic energy

The clip begins with both men kneeling on the floor facing each other.
The blond instructor holds his hands up either side of Alex's face and invites him to punch him.
Alex simulates a punch without making contact, at which point the instructor undermines his no touch policy by slapping Alex twice around the head.

Alex stands up, enraged, and the man kneels back down with a smug grin on his face.

But Alex makes short work of the zen-like defence technique

His self-satisfied countenance is soon destroyed however, when Alex goes for him full throttle, putting the man in a headlock before smacking him in the face with a left-handed uppercut.
The man's energy field somewhat shattered, he tries to defeat Alex one more time but is knocked to the ground instead.
The clip was filmed in 2009 and posted in 2012, but has recently started trending again.
